NERVOSA Prika Amaral formed the band in February 2010 together with Fernanda Terra (the first drummer). The band began gaining notoriety in March 2012, when they released their first music video, “Masked Betrayer,” which reached the incredible mark—especially for a new band—of 20,000 views in just one week. This earned them an Honorable Mention from YouTube as the 17th most-watched musicians’ video of the week and the 55th most-watched of the month of March that year. Shortly after, they independently released a 3-song demo.In the following months, NERVOSA achieved a major milestone: signing with the Austrian label Napalm Records, one of the world’s biggest record labels specializing in rock and metal.In March 2014, the band released their first full-length album, titled Victim of Yourself. The strong reception of the album was essential for the band to leave Brazil for the first time and begin touring across Latin America and Europe, where they also performed at some of Europe’s biggest summer festivals, such as Summer Breeze, Brutal Assault, MetalDays, Obscene Extreme, among others.In 2016, the band recorded their new album, titled Agony. Recorded and produced in California and Oregon, United States, by Brendan Duffey, and mixed and mastered by thrash metal master Andy Classen, the album had its worldwide release announced for June 3rd.In June 2018, the band released their third album, Downfall of Mankind, through Napalm Records, and embarked on several tours across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The album was critically acclaimed, and in 2019, they performed at Rock in Rio for more than 70,000 people.In 2020, during the pandemic, the band released the single Guided By Evil in October of that year, and the new album Perpetual Chaos was released in January 2021, reaching top positions on music charts in several countries. Aaron White and Bennett Evans began playing together when they were in middle school and have been writing and performing music together in different bands ever since. As of late, superstar has been playing nearly every weekend in a new city, sometimes with nationally touring acts, and they have no plans of slowing down. The Montvales

Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM The Montvales Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Sally Buice and Molly Rochelson of The Montvales spent much of their formative years busking amidst the Elvis impersonators and musical saw players of the town’s Market Square, honing their uniquely boisterous harmonies and perfecting the art of people-watching. Some fifteen years later, the two are still at it-maintaining their study of the robust chaos of the commons as they tour the country playing their descriptive, textured songs on the self-described “feral outskirts of country music.” Their lyrics tackle everything from heartbreak to gentrification to abortion rights, pulling audiences in alongside their well-worn harmonies and nearly telepathic musical connection. In 2020, the Montvales recorded their first album Heartbreak Summer Camp in a living room. The stripped-down, DIY folksongs span their young adulthood, beginning in their teens and taking them through their mid 20s. Then, seeking a more polished, full-band sound, the duo recorded their next album Born Strangers at Sean Sullivan’s Tractor Shed Studio in Goodlettsville, TN, recruiting Nashville stalwart Mike Eli LoPinto (guitarist for Chris Stapleton, producer of Emily Nenni’s On the Ranch) to produce it. The record garnered them a dedicated cult following and has been featured by outlets such as Holler, American Songwriter, Twangville, and more. The Montvales have gone on to share the stage with bands like Willy Tea Taylor and the Fellership, The Local Honeys, James McMurtry, and Mama’s Broke, and have appeared at festivals such as Healing Appalachia and the Old Quarter Songwriter Festival. In 2025 they signed with Free Dirt Records to release the single “Loud and Clear”, with a hint at more new music to come.

Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Thomas Dollbaum The realest-deal storyteller in indie-rock today is the Tampa-born, New Orleans-based singer/songwriter Thomas Dollbaum, and Birds of Paradise is his most powerful and dynamic work yet. Following up his critically acclaimed Wellswood (Big Legal Mess, 2022) and Drive All Night EP (Dear Life Records, 2025), Birds of Paradise is a goodbye letter to lost loved ones and former selves. These songs find Dollbaum searching for acceptance in the transient in-between places: Florida’s pine flatwoods, backroads leading to 1-95, where birds fly across the water. And even though the ghosts of his alt-county predecessors Townes and Molina are definitely present, on Birds of Paradise, Dollbaum emerges from their shadows–waving to the past, sounding all the more like himself. This moment–this album–is long overdue. Both of Dollbaum’s previous releases had taken way too long to record, due to circumstances out of his control, leaving him frustrated. And after having been away from his home for eight years, the place he had left was no longer the place he remembered, and the unchanging of the natural world felt like a constant he wanted to write about. With a sense of immediacy, he wrote Birds of Paradise in three months. Called up the musicians he trusted and admired the most–Nick Corson, Josh Halper, and Jake Lenderman–and asked them to meet him at Dial Back Sound in Water Valley, Mississippi with producer/engineer Clay Jones. They learned and tracked the album in four days, capturing lightning in a bottle, a sonic revelation Dollbaum’s writing has always been waiting for. But it ain’t just grown men trying to move on in Birds of Paradise. “King’s Landing” playfully frolics from the point of view of little-kid-Dollbaum growing up near a little private airport. And he’s got big dreams of flying him and his folks outta there. “I wish I could take us from this town,” he sings. But knowing this dream is “probably a waste of time,” he suggests going home and watching “Judge Joe Brown/ And reruns of Cops episodes in our home town.” “I hope we catch one where the bad guy gets away,” Dollbaum offers some optimism, “Maybe he’ll steal a small plane/ Fly off to the everglades/ Build us a home out of water and snakes.” When there’s nothing else, survival and imagination are the same thing. With the help of Lenderman, Halper, Corson, and Jones, Birds of Paradise is Dollbaum’s hard-won breakthrough. Alive and echoing like the poems and short stories you can’t shake: coyotes howl, birds fly south, kids chase rabbits through the sugar cane, and cigarettes are four dollars a pack. Birds of Paradise reminds us where we come from–the things inside ourselves we’ve forgotten–we just needed Dollbaum to show us. Here’s how to look back without fear or shame.
