We play passionate post-punk” ♱Formed in late 2021, Los Angeles’s DECEITS are putting the passion back in post-punk. Named after a track from the UK’s highly obscure & underrated The Wild Flowers, the trio have garnered a cult-like following in the goth/alternative underground through their catchy melancholic soundscapes and energetic live performances. Not afraid to stand out, DECEITS took it upon themselves to play post-punk that wasn’t restricted to just being cold and monotone. Founded on a shared endearment of bands like The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons and For Against, and not afraid to pull from influences outside of the “goth” musical tree, the band is made up of Kevin “Puppy” Moreno (Vocals, Bass Guitar, Keyboards), Skylar Francise (Guitars) and Francisco Saenz (Percussions). After a steady release of well received singles, DECEITS released their debut studio album “If There’s No Heaven…” in November of 2023 independently. Powered by modern de facto post-punk goth anthems like “Drowning In An Empty Sea” and “Mi Amor, Mi Vampira”, the album would be well received leading the band to tour across the U.S., headline their own show at the prestigious El Rey Theater, invited to play with legendary bands in the scene like The Chameleons & Diva Destruction and being invited to perform at 2025’s Cruel World Festival. For fans of: The Cure, New Order, Human Tetris, The Chameleons, Bauhaus Computer Kill Computer Kill is a Baltimore-based project blending post-punk urgency with brooding electronic soundscapes. Formed in 2022 and spearheaded by songwriter and producer Noah Schippers, he quickly carved out a space in underground scenes both in real life and on the internet. Known for intense, cathartic live shows for having a distinct sonic mood, Computer Kill continues to push the boundaries of darkwave and synth-driven pop.

The Lovers got four stars from David Fricke in Rolling Stone, opened for Wilco, got panned in Pitchfork, recorded a World Cafe session and built a respectable fanbase one bespectacled dude at a time. Bret re-emerged in 2023 with a set of sharply observed crises via the Pleaser EP. The Butter Valley Malcontent EP followed a year later, with Tuneless Blues landing in early 2026. After relocating from New Jersey to Philadelphia, Rob did a stint in like-minded indie stalwarts Groovy Movies. At a bandmates’ encouragement, Rob made the move to pursue his own tunes. After a few years and lineup changes, he found the perfect foil in pals Brian Newell (Adam & Dave’s Bloodline), Brian Mietz (Not Furlongs, Joyriding) and Max DiMezza (Tough Shits, Electric Candlelight). Together, they forge a sound indebted as much to first wave British Invasion psychedelia, Nilsson worship song craft and Beach Boys harmonies as to the fuzzed up, blown out guitar rock ’n roll of their ’90’s youths. Last years critically acclaimed “Everything’s Better” LP (produced at Retro City by the mighty Joe Boldizar) sees the crew in fine form as vintage mellotron strains cozy up to bleating synth squalls, thunderous drums crash along amid ruefully strummed guitars and garage stompers sit right next to tender ballads.
