What started as a couple old South London chaps having a laugh, has become a full-scale takeover. Armed with razor-sharp wordplay, heavyweight production and zero filter, the Cockney geezers have been turning packed venues into absolute chaos across the globe. Delivery Boys Meet Delivery Boys, Brooklyn’s waviest alternative rap group, established in 2015 by founding members Max Gertler and Goldwood. The duo—originally actual delivery boys for local delis—formed the collective out of a shared love for hip-hop and the cultural richness of New York City. Daily cyphers, late-night sessions, and mutual music obsessions laid the foundation for their early recordings. The group expanded in 2016 with the addition of YGB and LOSTBOYBK, kicking off a new era for Delivery Boys. They caught fire with the breakout single “Pissed Off” featuring Rich the Kid in August 2017, which racked up over 1 million streams across platforms. The buzz landed them a spot on Pigeons and Planes’ list of Best New Artists that year. Over the next few years, they continued to expand their sound and audience. In 2019, they teamed up with Y2K for the collaborative EP 30 Minutes or Less, and dropped their debut full-length album Tandem in 2020, which included fan favorites like “YGB Rapping All Fast” and “Batman.” DI$NEY 2 followed in 2021, and Confused by Computers arrived in 2022, each project exploring new sonic territory while staying rooted in the group’s raw chemistry and storytelling. Countdown From Ten Countdown from Ten is an instrumental math rock trio from South Philadelphia. Consisting of Daphne Getty (drums), Ariel Golden (bass), and Cameron Davidson (guitar), the three have been considered the upper crust of the scene since 2018. The group is known and renowned for their explosive live shows and unique sound. Countdown has broken bread on the national stage with acts such as Hail the Sun, Daikaiju, The Ben Levin Group, Standards, Floral, Satyr and Dysrhythmia. The band’s music, captured on two available EPs, Speakeasy Petting Zoo (2018) and On the Instability of Air (2020), is characterized by odd but danceable rhythms, bizarre yet catchy hooks, highly effected guitar tones, and savory fills and rolls served up by Daphne. With Ian Wright on vocals and guitar, SD Ineson on guitar, bassist Steve Brockway, percussionist Lawrence Giltnane and Peter Maxted on drums, the Rubies debuted with their mini album “Witch-Hunt in Lotusland” (1986). They went on to sign with New York’s TVT Records and released two albums on the label – “Fascinatin’ Vacation” (1988) and “See the Money In My Smile” (1990).
