He first rose to prominence in the late 2010s with his self-released debut studio album TiredBoy(2017), whose title track became a stand out in the lo-fi movement. The album also featured “FindingParking,” later used as the musical base for “AllNightParking” on Adele’s Grammy-winning album 30 (2021). Born and raised in Michigan, Pecoraro quickly gained a following for his nostalgic, sample- based productions that balance warmth, melancholy, and playfulness. His sound is characterized by vinyl textures, jazz-inflected piano lines, mellow drum patterns, and thoughtfully selected samples, often incorporating found sound, vintage recordings, and speech snippets to add narrative depth. With his latest self-titled album, Pecoraro continues to expand his sonic palette while remaining rooted in the ambient sensibilities that define his work. TIOGA Cultivated in the eternal city of Brotherly Love, TIOGA creates music that sounds like if Jack Antonoff and Brandon Flowers went to a karaoke bar and sang Talking Heads songs until they got kicked out and then mumbled David Bowie songs to themselves on the walk home. The group marries their meaningful lyricism and endearing style of alternative indie with a hearty bass and danceable synth-pop sound.
