The Madeleine Haze ~ Zack Devine

Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:40 PM The Madeleine HazeOver the past couple decades, the Philadelphia area has produced dozens of incredible hard-hitting bands; yet, none have matched the raw energy, technical prowess, and songwriting excellence of progressive metal/hard rock trio The Madeleine Haze.  The project began in 2009, with singer/guitarist Zack Devine touring extensively in support of his first two killer records: 2010’s In Search of Lost Time and 2011’s A More Perfect Union. As great as those collections were, the group didn’t reach its full potential until Devine teamed up with bassist Richard Wilson in 2013 and drummer Dan Dalton in 2014. That same year, they created The Madeleine Haze’s magnum opus thus far – Noble Lies & Pious Frauds – an intellectually and musically stunning sequence that mixed the trio’s trademark chemistry with the dynamic magic of influences such as Dream Theater, Rush, Porcupine Tree, and Queensrÿche. Naturally, they toured Noble Lies & Pious Frauds as much as possible over the ensuring years amidst receiving plenty of praise from listeners, journalists, and even genre legends such as Mike Portnoy! Unfortunately, due to various unforeseen circumstances, the triowent on hiatus in 2018 (during the production of their fourth full-length record). Of course, they played a packed farewell show in Philadelphia beforehand, and since then, countless fans have wondered what the future of The Madeleine Haze would be—that is, until now, as Devine, Wilson, and Dalton recently announced their long-awaited reunion! In fact, The Madeleine Haze are delighted to announce that—after six years of inactive planning—they’re returning to the stage for a special evening of music in Philadelphia on December 28, 2024. Not only will it be a celebration of their return, but it will also be a way for the band and fans to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Noble Lies & Pious Frauds.  Plus, they’ve got their sights set on completing and releasing the highly anticipated follow-up to that third record, as well as continuing to create more new music and dominate more live events moving forward. Without a doubt, the future has never been brighter for The Madeleine Haze, and they’d love for you to be a part of the newest phase of their journey! Zack Devine (Solo)

Nanowar of Steel ~ Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees and Beyond

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 8:00 PM Nanowar of SteelNanowar of Steel is an Italian comedy heavy metal band. Their name is a pun on the metal bands Manowar and Rhapsody of Fire, and represents their tendency to satirize “true metal”, the primary focus of their music. https://www.nanowar.it/ Tragedy: All-Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees and BeyondTragedy takes disco, soft-rock and pop classics, and completely reimagines them as glorious, red-hot heavy metal. They’re sure to get your head bangin’, your booty shakin’ – and put a smile on your face and your fist in the air. Tragedy’s concept, while subversive and humorous, goes beyond what many have done in satirical music – they celebrate the soul of the original song, even while turning the soundscape on its head. The amps are cranked to eleven, but the emotion is not lost. You discover new meaning in songs that have been a part of your life for as long as you can remember. You laugh and cry. Dance and mosh. And feel newly connected to the disco-metal that was inside you all along. Tragedy does not lazily rely on the concept or “the joke”. The band plunges deep – blazing musicianship, tantalizing riffs and stunning vocals. All except for Lance the towelboy. He’s just an idiot.
