Video Games, Anime and Jazz-Hop combine at the NPC to NPC Tour, a groundbreaking joint headline tour featuring the stellar lineup of Mega Ran, Substantial, and the USA debut tour of Shao Dow!
Embark on a musical journey inspired by anime, games, comics and more as they bring their unique blend of beats and rhymes to cities across the USA, bookended by two landmark conventions: BlerdCon (Washington DC) and Nerdcore Party Con (Raleigh NC).
Created by Mega Ran in 2013 to help increase awareness and highlight the contributions of Black and Brown faces in nerdy spaces, the Nerdy People of Color (NPC) Collective has served panels, concerts and programming to conventions and venues on all seven continents, adding teachers, musicians and even professional wrestlers to the stable.
“When the Nerdcore Party Con — also shortened to NPC—- called me up, I knew this was fate.” Ran says. “ I had such a blast last year that I had to bring the crew this time, the stars just aligned for that to happen.
Substantial adds: “I’m excited to hit road with such a dope group of truly creative artists. It’s going to be a great time.”
UK based rapper, manga author and occasional ninja – Shao Dow’s first tour of the USA is sure to be a memorable one, following on from his first tour in Japan, this will mark a milestone in his musical journey.
Known to rap in both English and Japanese, he has opened for the likes of Tech N9ne, R.A The Rugged Man and KRS-One, written music for the games Fortnite and God of War and trained in Kung Fu in China at age 18.
With support from Kadesh Flow, O_Super, DJ Rockman and hosted by esteemed producer K-Murdock, the tour promises to be a great time.
