Since 2017, he has produced and released tracks ranging from shoegaze bops to folk swooners, though only recently bringing his live music to local Philly venues. Russ released his first full length album, fussy, in 2022, and since then has released the End of Tapes recordings, recorded entirely to 4-track cassette. Over the past year, the Russy live outfit has become grounds for experimentation and collaboration, emphasizing both the folkier and heavier elements of Russ’s music.
