A typical set includes album tracks, singles, and obscurities delivered with the energy and intensity that characterized R.E.M.’s live shows in the early ‘80s. But for this show at Silk City, the band plans something special: a recreation of the entire October 1983 headlining show that R.E.M. played at Irvine Auditorium in Philly. That show featured 25 songs, drawn mostly from the Murmur, Reckoning, and Chronic Town releases, along with some surprise covers.
