With manic energy fueling a cartoonishly commanding stage presence, STD skewers such topics as substance abuse, sexual compulsion, urban anxiety and obsessive cat-enthusiasm. STD has released nine albums and is a founding member of the touring nerdcore hip-hop collective known as the Four-Eyed Horsemen, along with MC Lars, Mega Ran and MC Frontalot. When he’s not on the road, he produces the NYC burlesque/wrestling hybrid event called “TasselMania.” STD continues to write, record and perform with great frequency and has no intention of stopping until his rock and roll lifestyle destroys him.CoolzeyGolden era hip-hop roots planted in black Iowa dirt and tempered by 90s alternative era rock influence yields a juxtaposition of the dark, horrific nature of life paired with a slapstick and comedic view of the world, allowing for a wide, unpredictable arsenal of material ranging from soul-spilling indie bedroom rock to wise-cracking battle rap and on to radio pop.Joe Jack TalcumJoe Jack Talcum (a/k/a Joe Genaro) is an American musician and songwriter who co-founded the Philadelphia-based punk rock band The Dead Milkmen. Open Mike Eagle ~ Serengeti ~ Video Dave ~ Fatboi Sharif

**All shows 21+—valid ID required**Doors: 6:00 PMShow: 6:50 PMOPEN MIKE EAGLEHumor can conceal and alleviate the pain of trauma, but no joke will erase it. Even Wu-Tang Clan told you that tears come after laughter. Relief comes only from opening every emotional and psychological wound.Open Mike Eagle spent the 2010s finding comedy in rap music and American nightmares. On albums like Brick Body Kids Still Daydream and Dark Comedy, he delivered hilarious socio-political insights via half-sung verses laid atop progressive production. Acclaim from publications like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and NPR coincided with headlining solo tours and top-billing at events like Adult Swim Festival. Between studio sessions, Eagle co-founded The New Negroes, a standup-meets-music variety show that explores perceptions of blackness. He and co-founder Baron Vaughn brought the show to Upright Citizens Brigade, Comedy Central, and venues around the U.S. Since founding his record label Auto Reverse Records, though, Eagle has scaled back the jokes. He’s finally unpacking his traumas and acknowledging their impact. With over a dozen solo and collaborative projects to his name, Eagle has spent his career redefining and expanding the parameters of “art rap,” the term he coined as a shorthand for leftfield and avant-garde rap music. http://mikeeagle.net/ SerengetiDavid Cohn, better known by his stage name Serengeti, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinoishttps://www.facebook.com/serengetidave/Video DaveVideo Dave is from Chicago and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where he began making music and studied production.
