Kidd Kidd’s story is almost the quintessential “rags to riches” tale, as he was literally discovered while he was performing on the streets of New Orleans and eventually got signed by one of the biggest record labels in the rap gain: Young Money, founded by the iconic artist Lil Wayne. He later joined forces with his label mate, Gudda Gudda, to form “Squad Up.” The project lasted until 2004 when the group parted ways with the label. However, Kidd Kidd eventually rejoined the Young Money family back in 2008, working as a solo artist.
