Shaper ~ Flagman ~ Gewgaws

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM SHAPERSHAPER is a noise rock band comprised of members of long-running Philly heavy psych band Meddlesome Bells. Inspired by sharp blades, loud machinery, and doo-wop, 2023 is their first full year in business. https://instagram.com/shaper_sound?igshid=NGExMmI2YTkyZg==FLAGMANFlagman was founded back in 2015 by Sam Stewart and Cody Singleton, two long-time friends from the Orlando music scene, with a goal to create the crispiest, most deep-fried alternative metal the world had ever seen. That is, once they found a drummer. After a year-long search, Grant Freeman joined the duo, turning them into a trio… and the rest was history. From racking up hundreds of thousands of total streams and almost two million views across their social media platforms, to playing alongside national touring acts like Hed PE and Battles at major Florida festivals like Sanford’s Hurricane Fest and Gainesville’s FEST, Flagman are quickly rising up the ranks of the Southern US’ metal elite. Despite channeling the eclecticism of the 90s rock scene with influences including Primus, System of a Down, and Mr. Bungle, Flagman’s sound is completely unique. Through the almost unnaturally logical combination of vocalist Sam’s distinctive bass playing, drummer Grant’s driving rhythms, and sizzling leads from guitarist Cody, the band has managed to create a combination so hot that it would have melted Icarus’ wings in a fraction of the time. Like the petri dish experiment that ended up introducing the world to LSD, or the gelatinous primordial Floridian soup from which they emerged, Flagman could go all sorts of crazy directions in the long term. However, what’s more certain is what they’re planning after 3 successful single releases this year alone – releasing a full-length album, mixed by Ben McLeod of All Them Witches fame. At the same time, they’ll also be preparing to light up venues all across Florida and the south/southeastern US throughout 2023 with their slippery bass lines, searing-hot guitar riffs, and drum riffs that’ll have your ear holes begging for mercy as they’re pummelled into submission.https://linktr.ee/flagmanbandGEWGAWSThe pressures of people slabbed up against one another…cut that open, breathe deep into it: bright red rhythms that feel like a birthright shuffle just out of reach. DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia with Kidd Kidd, DJ Sun, 4KMichael

DJ PaulAcademy Award winner. Reality TV champion. Platinum Plaque earner. With a resume like this, it would appear that there is very little DJ Paul, the co-founder of legendary Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia, has left to accomplish in his illustrious career. Paul has collaborated with a plethora of A-List stars and emerging talent, including the likes of 2Chainz and Future, French Montana, Leikeli47, Lil Jon, ASAP Ferg, U.K. Grime artist Giggs and many more. Coming off of a five-times Platinum project with Drake’s Scorpion album in 2018, Paul continued a hot streak with a #1 Billboard appearance on Trippie Redd’s A Letter To You 4 project. His 2020 releases included collaborations with Yelawolf, Riff Raff, T-Pain, Oplus Seed of 6ix and more. In 2021, Paul collaborated once again with Yelawolf on the Slumafia album, bringing fans an exciting array of tracks. New collabs in 2022 include Young Buck, Krayzie Bone and more, as he is also enjoying success with his contributions to Eastern Europe’s bubbling Phonk Music scene.Kidd KiddKidd Kidd is a rap artist with a truly distinctive approach. Hailing from New Orleans, he came up with a sound that could be described as spontaneous and unique, often inspired by the greats of the old school, while also giving his flow a more modern spin. Kidd Kidd’s story is almost the quintessential “rags to riches” tale, as he was literally discovered while he was performing on the streets of New Orleans and eventually got signed by one of the biggest record labels in the rap gain: Young Money, founded by the iconic artist Lil Wayne. He later joined forces with his label mate, Gudda Gudda, to form “Squad Up.” The project lasted until 2004 when the group parted ways with the label. However, Kidd Kidd eventually rejoined the Young Money family back in 2008, working as a solo artist. He stayed on for a couple more years until he finally decided to move to the notorious G-Unit label, operated by 50 Cent. This was a massive move for him, which really allowed him to fine-tune his career path and reach an even broader audience. As he started to gain more experience and knowledge in the music industry, as well as build a much stronger following, Kidd Kidd decided that it was about time that he too started his own label. This led to him starting “Reallionaire Records,” also known as RLLNR Records.DJ SUNSUN is a Baltimore born DJ who has made a name for himself up and down the east coast and beyond. You can feel it in the raw energy of Desoto Jones, a band which blends contemporary sound with the roots of American Rock. The ragged intensity of Desoto Jones is reminiscent of the early days of grunge and alternative, but is also pleasantly sophisticated; the band skillfully fuses ear-grabbing melodies with soulful, introspective lyrics. Their music is an inquest of candid expression, but the band doesn’t try to wax philosophic; the lyrics grow from real, relatable experiences. Their music invokes a sense of nostalgia for the past, travelling deep to touch the most basic human emotions.THE FOREST VIEW MOVEMENTHailing from the beautiful, cascading landscapes of southern New Jersey, The Forest View Movement is a six-piece band that embodies a mix of indie rock, jam, soul, alternative, folk, singer-songwriter, and anything else in the world you can think of.  We hope to see you dancing at our next show!

Easy Honey ~ Walter Etc.

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 6:30 PM Show: 7:00 PMEasy HoneyEasy Honey was born out of the small – town innocent college days: the days of walking home under the starry night, and springing under the watchful eye of sunny graveyards, Dairy Queens, and neo – gothic cathedrals. Easy Hone y’s witty melodies dotted with catchy hooks serve as anthems of nostalgia for their indie rock audience of daydreamers and nightseekers. Drawing inspiration from the originality and attitude of The Kinks, The Replacements, and Radiohead, the band’s raucous yet sentimental live show exemplifies the realness that people crave in a post covid/internet driven world.
The band’s latest singles, Orbiter and Tributary , landed itself on numerous popular playlists, including Spotify’s “Undercurrents,” and “Grade A ”, and precedes more releases from the band under the direction of producer Wolfgang Zimmerman (Band of Horses, Susto). Co – frontmen Darby McGlone (vocals, guitar) and Selby Austin (vocals, guitar) share writing and singing duties, while Charlie Holt (drums , vocals) and Webster Austin (bass, vocals) provide a rhythm section which complements the personified, interwoven electric guitars. When not touring, the band lives in Charleston, SC, leading the way in the rapidly growing music scene… and surfing Folly B each when home.Walter Etc.Walter Etc. is the brainchild of Dustin Cole Hayes, who has been creating music (originally as Walter Mitty and His Makeshift Orchestra ), writing, videos, and art for over a decade. Based in Ventura, CA he co – runs the label and art collective Making New Enemies with Milk Flud , and has worked alongside Jeff Rosenstock and Ian Farmer ( Slaughter Beach, Dog / Modern Baseball ) in the studio. W alter’s newest album “There There” (self – released via Making New Enemies, May 2021) showcases the band’s return to a home – recorded and self – produced approach. With a revolving door of band members and a foray into different genres, it is Hayes’s gift for l yricism and DIY ethos that holds all of his projects together in one cohesive canon.Bandcamp | Instagram | Spotify

Teenage Bottlerocket ~ Tightwire ~ Crossed Keys (Cambridge Hall)

AGE RESTRICTION: All Ages Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMTeenage BottlerocketThey’ve toured the world countless times. They kept the leather jacket – and – Converse look alive through an increasingly neon landscape. They’ve written songs about KISS, Top Gun and Minecraft. Hell, they’ve even been on CNN a few times! Please welcome back to the spotlight Wyoming’s own Teenage Bottlerocket, whose ninth album, the 12 – track Sick Sesh! — traffic – cone – orange cover art and all — will be released 08/27/2021 on Fat Wreck Chords. “This record is 12 songs because 14 was too long,” cracks vocalist/g uitarist Ray Carlisle. “We wanna keep the energy up.” Recorded in November 2020 at the Blasting Room (the band’s eighth straight full – length with producer Andrew Berlin), Sick Sesh! is a little bit rougher around the edges than the last few TBR albums, fr om the haunting “Statistic” to the panic – inducing “Strung Out On Stress” to the buzzsaw lead of “Semi Truck.” According to Carlisle, that was on purpose. “We spent a lot of time on guitar tones this time around — that was important for us,” he says. ““We made sure to bring the noisy, loud, irritate your fuckin’ mom guitar back. There’s a ton of intentional guitar noise and feedback. We dug up the amps we used for Freak Out! and They Came From The Shadows . This is punk rock, after all. Stay Rad! Is a great record, but it’s very radio friendly. I wanted to do the opposite of that: Let’s get fuckin’ noisy.” While the bulk of Sick Sesh! was written in January 2020 (with “Statistic” actually co – written between Carlisle and his son Milo), the COVID pandemic allow ed for the band to take a little extra time for fine tuning, and the resulting tracks are some of the most stylistically diverse on the record. First up, there’s the Templeman – penned “Strung Out On Stress,” the fastest, angriest track on Sick Sesh! , all ab out losing your mind during the pandemic. On the flipside, there’s the mid – tempo, melodic track “The Squirrel,” written by bassist Miguel Chen and sung by Templeman, that’s literally about a cute little rodent. https://teenagebottlerocket.bandcamp.com/album/so-dumb-so-stokedTightwirehttps://tightwirempls.bandcamp.com/album/head-full-of-snakesCrossed KeysChances are, if you’ve been paying attention to the Philadelphia underground music scene in the past two decades, you’ve seen one or two members of Crossed Keys before, although it’s very likely that you’ve seen them all. The members of Crossed Keys have a long history of playing in hardcore and punk bands from the area including Kid Dynamite, Ink & Dagger, Step Ahead, Kill The Man Who Questions, Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, Halo of Snakes, and The Curse. Crossed Keys draw from an eclectic palette of influences to create a unique twist on a sound that has been cultured in years of basement shows and record shops. Crossed Keys has gotten a lot older, a little wiser, and lost varying amounts of hair, but still makes music perfect for sweaty singalongs and all around good time.Crossedkeys.Bandcamp.com
