AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 6:00 PM Show: 7:00 PMYoung MedicineRising synthwave rockers Young Medicine pull the best from diverse genres to build a carefully constructed music identity that defies simple categorization. Thumping double-bass beats and crunchy guitar riffs hammer out hard-hitting rhythms while chorus lines partner with sparking retro synth tones for a stunning mix of audio ideas. If synthwave and metal got together and started a boy band, the result might sound something like Young Medicine, who have put themselves on the map as pioneers for a new era by bringing rockstar swagger to the retrowave movement.Danny BluDanny Blu is a dark electro-pop act based in New York City. An electrifying, hybrid powerhouse, he bridges the sounds of industrial and pop through “infectious hooks” and serves up an expansive pop exhibition of fashion, video, and art.  Dubbed as the “industrial pop idol” and featured on Billboard, Alternative Press, The Huffington Post, NewNowNext amongst many others; Danny Blu began his career with stunning shock-rock performances in queer nightlife leading to the formation of the band, Echo Black. After an album and several North American tours, Blu debuted his first solo single, “Bubble”, on Billboard Pride. The release of his first EP, “The Pale Horse” would storm the scene with provocative sex-positive singles & music videos and livestream shows throughout 2020. Enlisting the talents of producers MORIS BLAK and Walter Kazmier with the release of his sophomore EP, “MOLOTOV” on SHVDOW Records, Danny Blu solidified himself as “a force to be reckoned with”. In 2023, Blu embarked on his first co-headline tour with MORIS BLAK on “The American Dream Tour” — astonishing audiences nationwide.DarkFlyForming at Drexel in June 2021, DarkFly tastefully fuses elements of hair metal and glam rock. Comprised of Ted Halligan (vocals), Nicky Adams (guitars), Cole Seidel (guitars), Aron Feller (keyboards), Will Rainow (bass), and Steve Valentino (drums) the group has only grown closer over the past three years. In late 2021, the band released their first two singles, “Livin’ Wild” and “Believe.” They spent 2022 writing and producing eight more songs to complete a ten-song album, “Never Gonna Stop,” which was released in April 2023. Still residing in Philadelphia, DarkFly is ready to share their energetic and catchy arrangements with audiences across the city and beyond

AIRIEL ~ BLUSHING ~ BODYWASH

*All events are 21+ valid ID required for entry* 7 PM – Doors8 PM – Show AIRIELActive since the late 90’s, the Chicago-based group’s lush washes of effects-heavy guitars and yearning vocals recall U.K. shoegaze acts like Kitchens of Distinction and Ride, and American indie songwriters like Bob Mould.  The group released a series of four Winks and Kisses EPs in 2003 and 2004, then sporadically resurfaced with the albums The Battle of Sealand (2007) and Molten Young Lovers (2017).  Winks and Kisses was remastered for a 20th anniversary deluxe reissue in 2023.  The 20th anniversary deluxe edition included demos dating back to the group’s 1997 formation and several previously unreleased songs.  ~ Paul Simpson BLUSHINGOn their recently completed third LP, Sugarcoat (releasing May 3, 2024), Blushing’s dynamism is on full display, flitting effortlessly from spacey psychedelia to twee pop jangle with finesse and panache. Having once again enlisted Ringo Deathstarr’s Elliot Frazier and Ride’s Mark Gardener for engineering, mixing, and mastering duties, Sugarcoat is a dense, reverb-laden exploration of alt rock’s 40+ year history that conjures up concord from chaos. Whether it’s the post-punk-tinged “Seafoam” (which happens to feature Jeff Schroeder on lead guitar) or the hypnotic psych of “Slyce”, Blushing weaves a cohesive musical arc that effortlessly blends their disparate influences into a sonic watermark that is unmistakably their own. BODYWASHBodywash formed in 2014 as a vehicle for the sonic bond between Chris Steward and Rosie Long Decter. The Montreal duo conjure a dreamscape with airy vocals, intricate guitars and pulsating synths over a heavy rhythmic foundation. In 2019, they released their debut LP, Comforter, which received praise from Bandcamp Daily, NPR, Clash Mag and elsewhere.  The sophomore LP finds the band experimenting with glitching drones and cascading vocals while exploring themes of dislocation and decay. In support of the record, the duo has played a series of headlining dates across North America as well as festival spots at SXSW, Treefort Fest, Sled Island and more.

Lead single “compass” served as Cam’s Canadian Radio debut on the Alternative and Rock Radio charts, peaking at #34. Singles “birds” and “try again” were met with widespread support from editorial playlists landing on All New Rock, Ready to Rock, New Noise, and New Music Friday . In 2024 Cam is set to release his third project via Dine Alone Records. Jesse Roper + Pressing Strings

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMJesse RoperBased in Victoria, BC, Jesse Roper is a blues/Americana artist with a penchant for writing modern indie-infused blues music and delivering bombastic live performances buoyed by his virtuosic guitar playing. His innate and impressive musical talent has served him well, giving him the flexibility to play with soul icon Booker T. Jones, rock veteran Colin James, blues belter Beth Hart, and Canadian legend Burton Cummings. The stage is where Roper shines. It has been his home since overcoming crippling stage fright during his early twenties. Fear is a part of Roper’s past that barely seems real today – especially when you see the in-concert image of a six-string soldier, hair matted to his face, tearing up the stage, without a hint of second-guessing. Roper’s last album ‘Horizons’ marked a sonic high point in his career thus far. Working closely with famed JUNO-nominated producer Gus van Go (Metric, The Stills, Whitehorse, Arkells, The Trews, Sam Roberts) on that new collection of songs has pushed Roper into creating some of his best work. “Recording with Gus and Werner F was on a whole new level. Roper released the first single off his upcoming LP (to be released in late 2023) “Make It All Work Out” on March 29th, 2023. The song charted on Canadian terrestrial and satellite radio throughout the spring and early summer. Now all eyes are on the next release, “Throw This Rope” produced by Gus van Go (Metric, Whitehorse, Sam Roberts Band). The song will be the second of multiple energetic, fresh, soulful and r&b inspired tracks from a forthcoming LP that harkens the voices of JJ Cale, The Teskey Brothers, Ben Harper and others – while maintaining Roper’s strong and unique expression in the genre. When asked to describe the song, Jesse remarks, “Throw This Rope is about being told how to run your life and career by folks who are currently running theirs aground. I sure don’t know everything and I never will but I’ve been given every manner of advice from folks who have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s frustrating sometimes.”Pressing StringsWhen music is given the benefit of instinct, imagination and inspiration, the results are guaranteed to be good. So it ought to come as no surprise that the critically-acclaimed Annapolis Maryland-based trio, appropriately dubbed Pressing Strings, has infused those elements within their musical mantra from the beginning. The band — Jordan Sokel (Guitar/Vocals), Nick Welker (Bass, Vocals), and Justin Kruger (Drums, Vocals) can trace its origins to Sokel’s initial fascination with some iconic influences, among them, the usual suspects — Dylan, Marley, Simon, Withers, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Led Zeppelin, etc., as well as some more under the radar artists like Taj Mahal, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, and Nick Drake. Fascination became fulfillment once he picked up the guitar and started writing songs. That’s when his course became clear. After growing up in New Jersey and Arizona, he eventually moved to Arnold, Maryland to attend high school and eventually university at Salisbury University. However once there, he found he began having doubts about his career choice. That’s when he made it his mission to pursue his musical muse. Still in college, he formed Pressing Strings with one of his buddies.

Ferreira fka milo aka scallops hotel is an mc, producer and theorist working in the Black arts tradition commonly categorized as rap. Having founded the label ruby yacht in 2015 and since releasing all of his music through this channel, Ferreira has earned a sizable following within independent hip hop by rigorous, constant touring and an elevated, explorational style of performance. He is known for an uncompromised, utopic flow that speaks directly to the root of the listener. By 2018, the young artist galvanized his presence in the American rap scene with the opening of Soulfolks Records & Tapes in Biddeford, Maine (now located in Nashville).Ferreira has a sprawling, limitless catalog ranging years, names, geographies, intentions, collaborations, and vocabularies. In an era defined by keyword search, soundbyte, cosign, marketing and virality this artist’s work stands out by not cow tailing to the movements and trends of the digital sphere. He currently makes his home in Nashville, Tennessee where he continues to helm the Ruby Yacht while studying to become a blues guitar legend and a farmer.ROSIE TUCKERRosie Tucker is a born songwriter, an evocative vocalist, an accomplished rock instrumentalist, and a funny gender-queer art weirdo serving up truly fresh indie rock with an ear for the long queer lineage of politically conscious singer-poets like The Indigo Girls, Ani Difranco, Tracy Chapman, and Glenn Copeland. The songs that make up Tucker’s fourth LP, Utopia Now! are career-defining, aiming to make a watermark high above most every other songwriter in their genre. The album comes out on March 22 via Sentimental Records.Written solely by Tucker (with the exception of “Eternal Life”, a cover of an evocative recent Numero Group unearthing) and produced entirely by Tucker and longtime collaborator Wolfy, this most recent effort is both a homespun labor of love and a hi-fi, creatively ambitious swing for the fences. Recorded at their home studio in Altadena in between walking the dog and watching campy art films, Tucker’s latest album is a beautiful snapshot in time, a picture of healing from the isolation of both the global pandemic and the atomization of artists.CAVALIERCavalier is an emcee, Hip-Hop adept, urban chief and cultural dapifer.
