Escaper ~ Qway ~ Maantrala (DJ Set)
AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Escaper (featuring Luke Bemand of Lespecial) Escaper is a New York City band who throws sci-fi dance parties that mix funky jams with progressive psych-rock. Escaper is known for the synergy between Will Hanza (guitar, vocals) and Phil Kadet (keys). After a brief hiatus during the initial months of the pandemic, they were joined by drummer Sam Crespo (Space Bacon) and bassist Luke Bemand (lespecial). The band has played all over the northeast at festivals such as Northlands, Great South Bay, Adirondack Independence, Bear’s Picnic and others and have shared stages with the likes of Jon Fishman (Phish), Karl Denson, Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein (the Disco Biscuits), Spafford as well as members of Dopapod, Cabinet, Rubblebucket and many more. Qway Qway is an Eastern Progressive Psych trio from Philadelphia, PA. Qway methodically blends disparate influences to bring a fresh take on the psych-rock revival, creating a genre-defiant sound consisting of prog-rock roots injected with Turkish/far-East melodies, drum-and-bass pockets, and trip-hop sampling. With elaborate live performances showcasing technical compositions, complex improvisation, live sequencing, looping, and an eclectic array of instrumentation, Qway brings high-energy psych grooves to the stage while redefining the boundaries and capabilities of a 3-piece band. DJ set by: Maantrala (featuring Taylor Jamison of Solar Circuit)
H.R. (of Bad Brains) ~ The Heavy Beat
AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 6:30 PMShow: 7:00 PM H.R. (of Bad Brains)H.R. (Human Rights), is an American musician who leads the hardcore punk band Bad Brains, and is an instrumental figure in the development of the genre. His vocal delivery has been described as diverse, ranging from a rapid-fire nasal whine, to feral growling and screeches, to smooth near-crooning or staccato reggae rhymes. He has departed the band periodically to pursue solo efforts that are more inspired by reggae than Bad Brains’ punk sound. The Heavy Beat The Heavy Beat is a five piece band from Philadelphia. Their unique sound is rooted in a deep appreciation for 60s Jamaican music, American soul and rock and roll. Formed in 2007, the band gigged relentlessly for 6 years and took an indefinite break in 2013. Now, after 10 short years, The Heavy Beat is back ready to pack the dance floor once again. Punky Reggae got SOUL! https://theheavybeat.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/theheavybeat
Virginia Man ~ Zoe Lemon ~ Fonvery
AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 7:30 PM Virginia ManVirginia Man is an emotional folk-and-roll band comprised of Kristian Lietzan (singer/songwriter), Stephen Amoruso (bass/vocals), and Jamaal Farrow (drummer). With poetic lyrics bellowing over the sounds of middle Appalachia, these gentlemen champion the sound of Virginia: a strange suspension between the cardinal directions, musical genres, and the changing of seasons. With lots of new music arriving in 2023, the boys have been out on the road! The live show has become a favorite amongst members and audiences alike, like a sonic rollercoaster, akin to the plot of a great American classic, with gripping performances and storytelling, and celebratory beverages to follow. ***MOVED TO FRANKY BRADLEY’S*** Dylan Reese ~ Dylan Owen ~ Bowdizz ~ T-Burk ~ BMAR
AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Dylan ReeseDylan Reese is originally from Chicopee, MA. From a young age, he was determined to carve out a lane for himself in the music industry. As an artist, he’s done just that – collaborating with the likes of Musiq Soulchild, Twista & Paul Wall, along with more notable names and a handful of rising peers. Dylan has also been fortunate enough to tour all over North America, as both support + a regional headlining act. If you like 90’s-2000’s R&B, you’ll more than likely find a ton of songs that you enjoy within his catalog (over 200 songs released). Delivering buttery vocals & thoughtful storytelling on top of memorable yet classic sounding production; Dylan will continue to reach new ears in an inevitable new way.https://www.instagram.com/dylanreesemusic Dylan Owen Out of the sleepy small towns of Orange County, NY, alternative rap artist Dylan Owen has become a beacon of light for tens of thousands of ardent listeners who come from towns such as these and beyond; who turn to his songs of introspection and wonder and struggle as a soundtrack to their lives, and a kind of navigation device. His vulnerable, poetic rap songwriting has generated press comparisons to alternative icons Conor Oberst and Elliott Smith, and he has collaborated with rap peers Abhi The Nomad, Watsky, Abstract, Kinetics & One Love and opened a tour date for Mac Miller. Dylan possesses disarming technical prowess as an emcee, and has, alongside longtime producer Skinny Atlas, formed production palettes from alternative rap to pop to folk—where neither DJ scratches nor a live violin or trumpet are out of place. Through breakout EPs There’s More To Life and Keep Your Friends Close and fan-facing efforts such as his self-published book and Coffee with Dylan series, he has fostered a deeply engrossed and active community that sell out his shows, tattoo his lyrics, buy merch from every drop (from which the proceeds benefit mental health causes), and compose thousands of heartfelt social media messages. What sustains Dylan is his ongoing quest to carve out meaning from his journey for himself and others, and to give it away so that it might empower his listeners, who prove to him time and time again that there is more to lifehttps://www.instagram.com/dylanowenmusic Bowdizzhttps://www.instagram.com/bowdizz9 T-Burkhttps://www.instagram.com/tburkmusic/ BMARhttps://www.instagram.com/bmar_music/
