Rav & Kill Bill: The Rapper ~ Scuare & No1mportant

AGE RESTRICTION: This show is ALL AGES. Patrons must be 21+ with ID to drink. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 8:00 PM Kill Bill: The Rapper and Rav are two of the best kept secrets in the current underground rap scene. With a deep history of over a decade of releasing music together through their rap guild, exociety, they’ve amassed a strong cult following through both their collaborative efforts as well as their solo works (many of which have charted on Billboard independently). From award-winning merch sales on tours to cultivating a rabid, devoted fanbase all across the globe, they’ve somehow remained one of Hip-Hop’s hidden easter eggs; a rabbit hole of indie rap akin to a modern Def Jux or Anticon. After what feels like forever since releasing their cult classic mixtape, NEW MOON, Rav and Kill Bill: The Rapper reunite for their much anticipated first collab album, KEEP THE CHANGE!  The duo join forces with an updated in-your face, industrial hip-hop sound reminiscent of the likes of Danny Brown and Run The Jewels. Self-produced. DIY as fuck. Really rapping but not being corny about it. KEEP THE CHANGE! runs a gamut of sounds all the way from breakbeats a la Jet Set Radio to stumbling upon a forbidden forest ritual with crushing 808s squeezed between your breaths. Even in its diversity, KEEP THE CHANGE! somehow remains a cohesive and compelling listen.

Native Sun ~ Nervous Nikki ~ Shaper

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 8:00 PM Native Sun”Native Sun grows with increasing urgency in the face of the inexorable climate crisis, growing civil division, and overlapping public health emergencies. Colombian-American songwriter Danny Gomez (vox/guitar) battles the impotence of our time when it seems, to use the words of Voltaire, common sense is not so common. Nico Espinosa (drums) and Justin Barry (bass) round out the resonant rhythms & Jack Hiltabidle (lead guitar) create a space of controlled chaos at high-energy live shows as well as detailed and layered recordings. Raw and honest, the New York band delivers solace and catharsis to all audiences—singing about grief, disillusionment with our time, and lovingly documenting the lives of the outcasts and misfits. Native Sun channels the grit of punk with the tenor of the times when rock ‘n’ roll could change something.Their latest EP Off With Our Heads, produced by Walter Schreifels (Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, Rival Schools) is out now via Grand Jury Music (Twin Peaks, TOLEDO, Carl Barât) and Rough Trade Publishing.”https://www.nativesunyc.com/ Nervous Nikki and the Chill PillsNervous Nikki and the Chill Pills is a band based in the suburbs of Philly led by drummer and vocalist Nicole Bauza. Sonically, they orbit in a unique asteroid belt of influences; a seldom seen place where rock and roll, hip hop, and folk music float together in unison. Together Nicole, Nathan, Doug, and Kendal bring you punchy bass lines, melodic guitar riffs, and group singing powered by raw emotion.https://linktr.ee/nervousnikki ShaperFrom the ashes of long running Philly psych rock band Meddlesome Bells, SHAPER is a noise rock power trio. Pulling from disparate influences with no regard for genre convention, they borrow from punk rock, hardcore, sludge, psychedelia, hard rock, world music, and industrial machinery to craft concise, rhythmically complex music.  FFO: Fugazi, Melvins, Today is the Day, etchttps://www.instagram.com/shaper_sound

Easy Honey ~ XIXIX ~ Lady HD

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PMShow: 8:00 PMEasy HoneyEasy Honey was born out of the small-town innocent college days: the days of walking home under the starry night and springing under the watchful eye of sunny graveyards, Dairy Queens, and neo-gothic cathedrals.   Selby and Darby, fast friends upon meeting at college in Sewanee, TN, instantly began writing songs in the basements of academic buildings after hours. These songs were inspired by both the beauty of the natural world around them and the coming of age romances experienced during this time.  After adding Charlie Holt to the group, the band honed their live show at college parties and took their batch of songs to record in Nashville. The group has since blossomed, infusing its singer-songwriter folk roots with an original blend of East Coast surf-rock, catalyzed by the band’s relocation to the up and coming Charleston, SC, music scene. The band has sold out multiple shows around the country since beginning touring in 2022.  Easy Honey’s witty melodies dotted with catchy hooks serve as anthems of nostalgia for their indie rock audience of daydreamers and nightseekers. Drawing inspiration from the originality and attitude of The Kinks, The Killers, The Replacements, the band’s raucous, yet sentimental, live show exemplifies the realness that people crave in an internet-driven world. Easy Honey has supported in concert and taken after the spirit of currently popular bands such as flipturn and Sunroom. Easy Honey is supporting their upcoming album, ‘Cupidity Unlimited’, (to be released on 07/17). the 6 month long tour will include: their ‘Mountain Town Tour’ (15+ shows in Colorado), their second annual ‘Surf Tour’ (a two week run headlining East Coast venues, environmental clean-ups, and surfing Atlantic waves) and finally a full US loop (playing TX, midwestern states, and the North East etc.)  Co-frontmen Darby McGlone (vocals, guitar) and Selby Austin (vocals, guitar) share writing and singing duties, while Charlie Holt (drums, vocals) and Webster Austin (bass, vocals) provide a rhythm section which complements the personified, interwoven electric guitars. When not touring, the band lives in Charleston, SC, leading the way in the rapidly growing music scene… and surfing Folly Beach when home. XIXIXInstagramLADY HDPhiladelphia Psychedelic PopInstagram

Doors: 6:00 PMShow: 7:00 PM The Bret Tobias SetBret cut his teeth co-fronting the Bigger Lovers, a Philly guitar pop group that swung for the fences in the aughts. Dude re-emerged in 2023 with a set of sharp-edged melodic numbers that have deeply resonated with dozens. Bret’s songs are typically 1) nasty, 2) heart-breaking or 3) self-immolating, sometimes all at once. His cause is aided and abetted by Krista Umile (harmonies/keys), Tracy Stanton (bass), Jeff Tanner (skilled guitar) and Mike Kennedy (tubs).  https://thebrettobiasset.bandcamp.com/ MesmerFirst active in the mid-90s to early aughts, we took a 20-something-year break to play in other bands like Lefty’s Deceiver, Audible, The Bigger Lovers, Rhode Island, The Swivel Chairs, Static Shapes and more. We’re back now. https://mesmer-phl.bandcamp.com/ I Think Like MidnightSuper-melodic and original indie instrumental rock music, with quirky intelligent twists, guitar twang, and hints of Surf, Folk Rock, and Motorik.
