Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PM Donuts In 2018, Philadelphia pub rock stalwarts, the Donuts, performed Rockpile’s legendary Seconds of Pleasure lp in its entirety at Kung Fu.  Why?  We can’t remember.  However, the Donuts have taken things one step beyond.  They return to Kung Fu to celebrate the release of their latest record, The Pleasure of Seconds.  Yes, the boys took it upon themselves to write answer songs to Rockpile’s originals.  Seconds, as it were.  Rockpile affectionately sang “Teacher Teacher”; the Donuts celebrate a sexy “Substitute Teacher.”  Rockpile’s “When I Write the Book” is answered with “Every Book I Never Read.”  You get the point.  None of this would matter if the Donuts – called “a band to watch” in Playgirl magazine – didn’t coat their pub rock replies in the usual power pop confection for which they have long been celebrated.  Come join ‘the nuts for this much anticipated record release party!   Foxycontin Foxycontin, an American band based in Philadelphia, are four men devoted toplaying high-spirited, pop punk.
