**MOVED TO FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH** The Crane Wives ~ Anna Moss

AGE RESTRICTION: All Ages Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 8:00 PMThe Crane WivesBorn of the 2010’s folk boom and now comfortably stationed in their rock and roll era, The Crane Wives epitomize the evolving sound of the indie genre. Having performed hundreds of shows on stages across the country, they gravitate toward high – energy melod ies, featuring the kinetic percussion of Dan Rickabus, the silky, driving bass lines of Ben Zito and playful guitar leads from front women Emilee Petersmark and Kate Pillsbury. Counterbalancing their lively stage presence, their lyrics extol the shadow sid e of the human condition, delving into mythology and themes of darkness and inner conflict. The band softens the blows of their emotional candor with soulful three – part vocal harmonies, like a 21st century Cerberus, the hound of Hades reimagined as an emot ional support animal. To date, they have released five full length albums, including their 2020 live album, “Here I Am”.Anna MossAnna Moss has a voice that will stop you dead in your tracks. She commands attention and takes audiences on a spiritual journey when she sings. Moss’s vocal quality is so unique and deeply healing that crowds often beg for down tempo and Acapella songs. It is in these moments that you can fully absorb the smokey, gritty and dynamic nature of her singing. Growing up in Berryville Arkansas, (a town whose main industry is chicken farming) Anna flew the coop and made her career playing music in the US, Canada, Europe, Central and South America. She has made waves in the folk and festival scenes of North America as a front woman for the band Handmade Moments. After seeing most of the Western World she decided New Orleans would be her home. Moving to the New Orleans has influenced Anna’s arrangements and style. She began writing her debut album in a dark depression during 2020. All shows we cancelled and live musicians were practically erased from the economy. It was in these bleak times that Anna wrote profusely and honed in her bedroom pop style. She searched for months to find a band in New Orleans to fill out her sound. Eventually she found what she was looking for. Fernando Lima, a local percussionist and drummer originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Olivya Lee, a flautist and vocalist originally from Uruguay joined Anna to create the Nightshades.https://www.annamossmusic.com/

Their first offering is the single, “No Outlet.” The track hearkens back to the classic 90’s sound honed by acts like Duster and Smashing Pumpkins mixed with the contemporary sensibilities of Title Fight and Nothing. Stoop Kids ~ Fever Dolls ~ The Last Generation on Film

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMSTOOP KIDSBorn out of frontman Griffin Dean’s affinity for layering old doo-wop records and hip-hop beats, Stoop Kids grew into a genre-bending 5-piece band with elements of Trap, Funk, Metal, Surf, and RnB. Combining infectious vocals, groovy bass lines and bari sax, they have crafted a unique sound that is both familiar and fresh.
After attending college together at Loyola University New Orleans, the band embarked on multiple national tours and amassed over 20 million streams. They later relocated to Nashville where they continue to tour and release music.
Stoop Kids’ latest release, “If it Ain’t You” with Idin Cain marks the second of a string of singles set to be released over the course of the year culminating in their fifth full-length album.InstagramFever DollsFever Dolls is the shape-shifting, label-defying project of producer-songwriter Evan Allis. Founded in 2018 with singer Renn Mulloy, Fever Dolls was born out of a desire to forego the self-seriousness of indie rock in favor of big hooks, clever lyrics, and broad musical range. Reflecting the highs and lows of modern life, Fever Dolls’s sound draws on everything from country folk to heavy metal to present a catalog of material as diverse and varied as its audience. 2020’s The Phantasm at Lake Wallenpaupack EP, produced by Paul Kolderie (Hole, Radiohead), showcased Fever Dolls’ hit-making sensibilities while continuing to push listeners’ expectations of what a single musical act could be, with Vox’s Emily Van Der Werf remarking “Fever Dolls (and songwriter Evan Allis) seem to borrow from an entirely new set of artistic influences on each and every track, while still sounding like themselves.”www.feverdolls.comThe Last Generation on FilmThe Last Generation On Film is a Modern Rock Outfit from Philadelphia. Their music draws from a variety of influences including electro-pop, funk, chillwave and dance music with an Alternative Rock core and their sound has been compared to A Flock Of Seagulls, Duran Duran, and Glass Animals.  Formed in 2014 by Jeff Familetti (vocals, keys, guitar) and Ryan Bayler (keys, guitar) as a synth pop duo, the band recently went through some dramatic changes with the addition of two new members, Joe Tockett (Drums) and Cameron Kynett (Bass).  As a result, the group’s sound has blossomed, a shift that has garnered local attention and resulted in a feature as one of WXPN’s Local Picks, as well as a prime spot on the lineup for 2nd Street Festival.   The group is currently in the process of recording their third EP, “Repercussions.”  Their first two EPs, “Repetitions”  and “Reflections,” were recorded at Headroom Studios by Mark Watter and are currently available for streaming online.https://thelastgenerationonfilm.bandcamp.com/track/one-less-voice-single

Film School ~ Laveda

AGE RESTRICTION: Only Ages 21+ can purchase tickets for this show. NO REFUNDS/EXCHANGES for anyone underage who purchases or attempts to use these tickets. Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMFilm Schoolhttps://filmschoolmusic.bandcamp.com/album/we-werent-here-2LavedaFounded by duo Ali Genevich (vocals/guitar) and Jake Brooks (vocals/guitar/synths), Laveda released their polished debut album ‘What Happens After’ in 2020. Drawing a post-apocalyptic landscape through layers of colorful sound and ethereal melodies, the band fused polished pop clarity with ‘90s guitar sounds reminiscent of groups like The Sundays or My Bloody Valentine. Dubbed as “a young band with a fully realized voice and perspective” by NYC’s Look At My Records!, the album saw Laveda attract praise across the US and beyond.  Brooks and Genevich spent most of the summer and fall of 2021 in Los Angeles working again with producer Dylan Herman (Beck, Pynkie) on their second full-length LP. Tapping into all the angst and anxiety that accompanies coming-of-age during bleak and uncertain times, ‘A Place You Grew Up In’ acts like a time-capsule of its inception period, exploring a range of themes from the loss of innocence to the struggles of coming to grips with reality. Balancing tender songs edged with slacker-rock guitars and spiralling otherworldly synths, the album sees Laveda spreading their wings with creations that nod to the lyrical intimacy of contemporaries such as Soccer Mommy or Big Thief, with the expansive sonics of classics acts like Slowdive to The Cranberries.  From the record, Laveda have released singles including the sun-drenched “Surprise”, the antsy and ethereal “F***”, the shimmering “Clean”, and latest single “Troy Creeps”; earning support from Brooklyn Vegan, Under The Radar, The Independent, The Revue, The Rodeo Mag, and many more in the process.   Recorded while the band stayed on a ranch just outside of LA in what Genevich describes as “a very therapeutic process”, the album features their full live band for the first time, including Dan Carr (bass) and Joe Taruone (drums). In the lead up to the album’s release, the four-piece have also completed two extensive headline tours across the US.   Currently signed to VT/NY-based label PaperCup Music, Laveda has released ‘A Place You Grew Up In’. An album that draws from the darkest of times and reflects in the half-light that comes with the dawning of adulthood, expect a shimmering, sensory and sensitive album that shows a band whose bounds know no limits.

Frankie and the Witch Fingers ~ Iguana Death Cult ~ Kelsey Cork and the Swigs

AGE RESTRICTION: All Ages Doors: 7:00 PM Show: 7:30 PMFrankie and the Witch FingersOver the course of five years and five LP’s, L.A. veterans, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, have been mutating and perfecting their high-powered rock n’ roll sound. After touring the USA and Europe, this four-headed beast has shown no signs of relenting—appearing like summoned daemons and dosing crowds with cerebral party fuel. The main attraction of Frankie and the Witch Fingers is their explosive performance. With their rowdy and visceral approach to live shows, each member brings their own devilry to induce an experience of bacchanal proportions. Using absurd lyrical imagery—soaked in hallucination, paranoia, and lust—the band strikes into dark yet playful territory. This sense of radical duality is astir at every turn and time signature change. Airy vocal harmonies over serrated riffs. Low-key shamanic roots under vivid high strangeness. Rambling stretches and punctuated licks. Cutting heads and kissing lips. All this reveals a stereophonic schizophrenia that has flowed throughout their body of work: an ebb & flow of flowery-poppy horror. The band’s latest incarnation is primed to break new sonic ground, edging into the funky and preternatural. Just when you think the trip couldn’t get any weirder, Frankie and the Witch Fingers cranks up the dial, shatters the mundane, and summons new visions. Iguana Death CultAfter the pandemic hit, and the people of the world suddenly grew wary and suspicious of one another, Iguana Death Cult, one of Europe’s most exciting rock exports, became more than just a band—it became therapy. “I think for the first ten times we went to jam,” says guitarist/vocalist Tobias Opschoor, speaking about the process of making the new album Echo Palace, “we just drank wine and talked about it, and just kept on talking for hours, and then were like, ‘OK, I have to go because I have to work tomorrow.’” Taking place at frontman Jeroen Reek’s apartment in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, these gatherings slowly shifted from talking about this surreal chapter of their lives: the days of quiet streets and cramped buildings—to making music about it. “I was living in a really crappy, leaky, ready-for-demolition apartment,” explains Reek, “with just one heat source—like a really old-school, gas stove kind of thing.” Working on cold nights, they had to gather around that heater together—a cozy approach that ultimately quickly got their creative flow going.Kelsey Cork and the SwigsSelf-described as Rock n Roll Kool-Aid, Kelsey Cork and the Swigs mix your favorite music with your best friend’s favorite music to make a tasty punk-blues-psychedelic-garage rock cocktail. Out of Philadelphia, Kelsey Cork and her band have garnered an irrefutable reputation for an energetic live show that you can’t help but dance to. They discard pretension and cynicism to rejoice in what it means to be surviving as a poor and rowdy Spice Girl generation person, seeing Philly as inspiration for both music and attitude. The Swigs let the litter and grime seep into their chords, lyrics, and stage presence, crafting catchy hooks about having a good time living below the poverty line that make you wonder why you ever cared about the facade of high-class elitism. The Swigs do something deliberate with their music; united by a raw anti-perfectionism approach, they shout to the world SHOW ME YOUR TRASH, and you’ll want to answer their call by drinking a citywide, throwing a house party, and dismantling the oligarchy.https://linktr.ee/kelseycorkandtheswigs
