The Bret Tobias Set
Bret cut his teeth co-fronting the Bigger Lovers, a Philly guitar pop group that swung for the fences in the aughts. The Lovers got four stars from David Fricke in Rolling Stone, opened for Wilco, got panned in Pitchfork, recorded a World Cafe session and built a respectable fanbase one bespectacled dude at a time.
Bret re-emerged in 2023 with a set of sharply observed crises via the Pleaser EP. The Butter Valley Malcontent EP followed a year later, with Tuneless Blues landing in early 2026.

VoirVoir
VoirVoir is an indie rock band from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, blending melodic guitar-driven songwriting with expansive arrangements, pretty yet gritty keyboard textures and manipulated samples. Following the release of their debut album, There Are No Good Goodbyes, the band toured throughout the East Coast, appeared at South by Southwest and other regional festivals, and began work on a second full-length record before the pandemic reshaped everyone’s plans. Now, with the album nearing completion, VoirVoir returns to the stage with a renewed kinetic energy and new material alongside songs from their debut, revealing the next chapter of a sound that has grown more cinematic, expansive, and emotionally resonant.
1910 Chainsaw Company
The 1910 Chainsaw Co. is the brainchild of Robert “Chainsaw” Perry, whose misspent youth crate digging for the headiest of nugs at the venerable Princeton Record Exchange lead him to pursue a life of harmony-laden, ’60’s indebted jangle pop ’n roll. After relocating from New Jersey to Philadelphia, Rob did a stint in like-minded indie stalwarts Groovy Movies. At a bandmates’ encouragement, Rob made the move to pursue his own tunes. After a few years and lineup changes, he found the perfect foil in pals Brian Newell (Adam & Dave’s Bloodline), Brian Mietz (Not Furlongs, Joyriding) and Max DiMezza (Tough Shits, Electric Candlelight). Together, they forge a sound indebted as much to first wave British Invasion psychedelia, Nilsson worship song craft and Beach Boys harmonies as to the fuzzed up, blown out guitar rock ’n roll of their ’90’s youths. Last years critically acclaimed “Everything’s Better” LP (produced at Retro City by the mighty Joe Boldizar) sees the crew in fine form as vintage mellotron strains cozy up to bleating synth squalls, thunderous drums crash along amid ruefully strummed guitars and garage stompers sit right next to tender ballads. A new LP, produced once again by Boldizar, is slated for a late 2026 release.
